What is the command key on a dell keyboards? I have a old power g5 and I’m trying to do a fix but I need to know a function key because I’m using a dell keyboard .
Does anyone know the equivalent to the command key on a non-apple keyboard? I am trying to delete the data on my hard drive by pressing command + R when rebooting but I don't have the command key on my keyboard.
Craig, If you haven't tried this already.... Open up System Preferences -> Keyboard and click the Keyboard tab. At the bottom of this window a "Modifier Keys". Click this button and check that the command key is set to the command key.

command key for keyboard shortcuts no longer works I'm using a Logitech K380 Mac-compatible bluetooth keyboard. As of today, the command key couplets (cmd) + action key (X = delete, C = copy, V = paste, W = close file, etc.) no longer work. They've worked fine on this keyboard for several years, until today.
Command + R on windows keyboard Is there anyway to be able to use this functionality when restarting the mini to get to the disk utility (holding Command + R while rebooting) if you're using a windwos keyboard? All of the guides for shortcuts on an iPad keyboard refer to a command key, but they don't mention control or alt keys. The photos they show on how-to sites show the command key.
How can I type a command symbol? Quite a while back, one could open the keyboard viewer from the menu bar, choose a font, and see what characters were in it. There must be something similar now, but the emoji, symbols, & keyboard viewers are rather simplistic.
